ILLUSTRATOR AND ARTIST IN SAN DIEGO, CA.

Hi! I’m Lina Kimbap — the owner and artist behind Turtle Heights. Whether you met us at a local market or stumbled across us in the vast web-world, THANK YOU SO MUCH for being here!

My hubby & I started our California journey back in 2015, moving from Ohio to San Francisco. I found endless inspiration here. I started drawing everyday during my lunch breaks, and my long-held passion for art was re-ignited. In 2018, that spark grew into something bigger, and Turtle Heights combusted into existence to pursue my creativity wholeheartedly and share the joy I found through art. In 2021, we made our dream move to San Diego, and I took the leap to commit to Turtle Heights full-time.

I love using bold colors, symmetry, repetition, and surreal elements in my work to create silly characters & unusual worlds through eye-catching illustrations. Most of my illustrations are created digitally using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects. While digital art is my foundation, I also work with polymer clay, painting and block printing!

Check out my collection of vibrant art prints, irresistibly cute products and limited runs of handmade goods.

WORK WITH ME ☻

WORK WITH ME ☻

I’m here to be your creative journey partner and bring your vision to life!
Commissions are now open for August.

  • Custom Illustration, Character Design, Logo Design, Merch Design

If you’re looking for something not in the list, still reach out! I’m always up for a new challenge :-)

  • Each project is unique so each commission is tailored to fit your vision and goals. My standard design process involves an initial consultation, research and concept development, illustration and design, revisions and final delivery.

The timelines vary by project depending on its complexity and scope. A typical project can take anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months. If you require physical prints or products, expect an additional week or two. Detailed timelines will be communicated to you throughout the project.

  • I require a 50% deposit upfront to begin work and to secure your spot. The remaining balance is due upon completion. I’ll provide an agreement that clearly outlines everything you can expect from me.
